Adding the vi chord in the key of C Major

Song of the Day: “A Day in the Life” by The Beatles

Another rough day, but still trucking along. Woke up at 7am today. Yuck. I know, I know…waaaaay too early for the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, but you’ll be pleased to know I wasn’t up long and went back to bed,  officially rolling out closer to my regular time (between 10 and 11). I’d normally sleep right on through 7am despite the rest of the world getting into full gear and rushing to school/work/the mall…but it’s hard to sleep when it feels like cotton balls are stuffed in your nostrils. No matter how much I blew my nose, it felt like the obstruction was impenetrable and my head would blow instead…

Hence the song. A day in the life…right. But at least I get to look forward to teaching later and working with some students on songs they are really excited about. I’m looking forward to hearing their progress from another week of practice.

Anyway, speaking of lessons, I managed to get a new lesson up on my music blog. This one builds on the first chord study I did, and I’ll build it out further with subsequent posts. Check it out at:

Enjoy the lesson!
